You can schedule an appointment by calling our office at (801) 555-0173, emailing us at office@anchorridgecounselingut.com, or using our patient portal. We'll help match you with the right provider and find a time that works for your schedule.
Your first session is about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask about what brought you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to achieve. It's a conversation, not a test — and there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. Together, you'll start to build a plan for your care.
All of our providers are experienced and compassionate, each bringing unique specializations. When you reach out, we'll help you find the best fit based on your needs and preferences.

Your first session is $175, and each session after that is $150. That applies to individual, child, teen and couples therapy, in person or by telehealth.
Telehealth sessions are conducted over secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You simply need a private space with a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera. Before your session, you'll receive a link to join. All of our providers offer telehealth to clients anywhere in the state of Utah.
Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for most concerns. Many clients appreciate the convenience and comfort of attending sessions from home. Your provider will let you know if your specific needs would benefit more from in-person sessions.
Yes! Our providers work with children ages 6 and up, as well as adolescents. This is a key part of our practice — we believe in supporting young people early and providing families with a single practice that can serve the whole family. We also work closely with parents as part of the therapeutic process.
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. We understand that life happens — if you have an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Standard individual therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes. Initial intake sessions may be slightly longer.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in session stays between you and your therapist, with a few limited legal exceptions (such as imminent danger to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult). Your therapist will explain these exceptions in detail during your first session.
Therapy for children looks different than therapy for adults. Depending on your child's age and needs, sessions may include play, art, conversation, and skill-building activities in a warm, child-friendly environment. We also work closely with parents to support progress at home. Our providers have experience working with children ages 6 and up.
We understand that cost can be a barrier to accessing therapy. While our standard rates are $175 for the first session and $150 after, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your situation. We can also help you understand your insurance benefits and out-of-network options.
